Okay, how not to advertise a bike..... negatively!

Registered as 1988' but must be 86 or 87
Came from France, I've only had a few months, my intention was to service and ride and maybe later work on.
I've fitted a clutch, ignition switch, rear spoke set ...

Thanks chaps, switch fitted now.

Blue wire to ground, neutral light.

But as I mentioned, whatever position the sliding button was in, there was no change in resistance reading and there was always continuity.

Ah well, more important to have continuity, as without power through the switch, bike ...

Okay, confused here. Temperamental neutral light. As I've got the oil out whilst doing other things, I removed the neutral switch.
Thought I'd test continuity. I get continuity whether the push button on the switch is in or out.... So., I order a switch; just turned up.
Check new switch.... complete ...

Thanks all. Geoff I did have too much oil in it when I did my first change, but a decanted some, still leaking.

Saying that........ I've drained the oil from the engine and oil tank and it certainly looks a lot more than 2 litres!....

I'll check the clutch seal anyway and also helicoil the four ...

Well... Air leak.... Nahh

I'll check for wear too, but check out the video.
I never had erratic tickover, it was either right or high and I think this is it

Honestly.... I cannot work out where all the oil is coming from!!
The rear shock has loads on it, even has what looks like fresh oil dripping! Checked back of oil tank.
No oil in air box, just all over the area round the starter motor.
Starter motor and carbs ...

I have a new seal. Anyone know if it is possible to remove the arm without stripping the engine.

Just want to say a big thank you to Yuniparts.

One spoke from a set was faulty. Even though I tried removing some threads from the spoke, tried cleaning the threads etc, nothing would make the nipple fit.

Contacted Yuniparts and within a week, a replacement part has arrived; from Germany complete ...

Wheel rebuilt, new tyre fitted, test ride, I have a round wheel :clap:

Caveat.... One of the new spokes had buggered thread. Even cutting some off made no difference.
I now need to get the supplier to provide another spoke and remove the wheel again :scratch ...
