Wanted: XTZ750 Seat
Hi all, I need a seat for the 1989 (3VA) XTZ750 which I have just picked up. I will consider almost anything, as the bike came with out a seat. In Australia would be best, but would consider other location

My “New” 750
Hi all,
It has been a long time since I have checked in here.
Earlier this week, I went up to my brother’s place in Broken Hill, NSW (Australia), and picked up a 1989 3VA Super T, which my brother found in Wilcannia, and quiet generously sold to me. It is in very rough condition, and is missing ...

Re: An Aussie 1VJ Rebuild/Restoration
With the wife working away over the Easter holidays, I tried for a bit of an Easter miracle yesterday (Easter Monday), and attempted a resurrection by getting the 1VJ's engine running. Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck and ran into a few issues.

An Aussie 1VJ Rebuild/Restoration
Way back in 2011 while at Arkaroola for the inaugural Tenere Tragics Run, I meet John from Darwin. Over a few beers it came up that he had a rather sad 1VJ in his shed. I said that I was interested, and so began a 5 year process of getting the bike from Darwin down to my place near Clare in SA.

Re: My XT500C - on the road again
Trials bikes are a bit of a weakness with me. The first bike I bought way back in 1975 was a shiny new bright green and white 1975 Kawasaki KT250A. It is a real wreck at present after a hard life pulling a trials sidecar for many years, and is tucked away in the back of the shed awaiting restoration ...

Re: My XT500C - on the road again
A shot taken about 18 months ago on one of those rare occasions when it was almost tidy and there was room to move around the bench.

You must be Tommy10bikes Australian cousin
Nice work. :thumb:
Mezo.
At the last count I had 64 bikes in my shed, not including a few parts bikes.
Yes, it is quite a large shed.
Yes, the other half is VERY understanding.
Yes, I probably do need help from a psychologist to deal with ...

My XT500C - on the road again
I have been rebuilding / restoring one of my XT500's for the past 18 months and have finally got it back on the road last weekend. I just need to get the final stage muffler and a few other minor bits to finish it off.

Frame Number is 39E-004261.
Manufacture date on the Compliance Plate is 4/84.
Unfortunately, I need both tanks. The one on the frame will go onto the Bushpig, the single dent in this tank is a lot better than the eight dents that the Bushpigs current tank has. The spare tank will be used on the ...
