Thanks Guys,
Sorry for not replying sooner. Not a total git, yet. My tablet I am travelling with only gave me 'fatal error' messages when tapping the reply button. But here I am, and grateful.
Looking at the pictures and reading your discriptions my setup was pretty much OK. I aimed for the cable to ...

Re: 1VJ Clutch Setup
Thank matey. Where abouts is that mark on your crank case? In relation to the lever. Or oil pipe.

1VJ Clutch Setup
Hi, been a long time since I needed some help.
A long, long time ago I fitted new clutch plates when I reassembled the engine on my 1VJ. I followed the Klymer and a German manual . Both asked for the pointer on the clutch actuation lever to line up with the mark on the crank case. Pictures in both ...

Re: VIN on 86 Ten
That's what I thought. Hence the search. I bought a blue bike with blue frame but when we stripped the frame the colour beneath was black. There is the possibility it was painted black before blue. But then it was very thoroughly stripped to bare metal before the black. Don't think it was primer as ...

VIN on 86 Ten
Hi Guys
out of sheer boredom I tried to find out a few thing about my 1VJ by entering the VIN into some on line search engines. All are telling me the VIN is too short. They are looking for 17 digits. My VIN is only 9 digits long. Apart from a dealer where else can I find out what the original ...

Re: 25th Tenere anniversary Mothern, France.
I was there and remember it well. Stayed only one night though. Work! But worth the journey from Cornwall.
Came past the track again last July on my way back from the Dolomites. It still exists.

Re: Dead CDI anybody?
Hi guys
sorry to respond a bit delayed. Work called me away and I had no access.
As soon as I get back home I will post some pics of the existing loom ends and the babe herself with her new Stilmotor coat on. Will be another two weeks or so.
Meanwhile checking out Kedo, the obvious place really ...

Dead CDI anybody?
Hi Guys,
I have got a Hyperpack CDI lying around in the garage for a long time now as I thought the old one was knackered at one stage but it wasn't. Its time to fit it and try it out. But the connectors are all wrong. And I don't want to mess about with the wiring loom. So I am looking for a non ...

Re: Wiring with Stilmotor Fairing
Hi,
thought it was ambitious. Meanwhile I started the wiring. Using Yamaha plugs and pieces of a spare loom to extend the cables. This way it can be reversed at any time.

Re: Wiring with Stilmotor Fairing
On the German xt600 forum. There are some photos of bikes with them fitted. The tank replaces the left hand side cover and the rear mudguard.
