Bike runs ok until 3000rpm and then ignition becomes eratic.Definatly not a carb problem and coil/plug changed. I think it may be the tci but i will check the pickups. The tci is a 4PT-82305 . i have a 3PT82305 that i can borrow and wondered if i can use it to check if the tci is the problem.

I have taken the carbs apart for cleaning on my 2003 xt600e (YDLS twin carb set up) and managed to loose the drain screw. Having searched the workshop i then tried the web for a replacement. I have had no luck. Does anyone know where i can get one? uk based.

sorry i thought you were having a go at me. I really appreciate the time you put in. As i said i can rebuild engines no problem but electrics are a black art and the manuals i have show several wiring diagrams. it would be so simple if the colours out of the flywheel side matched the ecu. cheers

i will get a picture if it helps but all i am asking is what colour wires coming out of flywheel side connect to the wires in the ecu. Sorry if that is too confusing but there is no need for FFS.

Still trying to sort my barn find 1VJ. I wired it as per the workshop manual as i see it and i get a spark but it does not run correct.
