Wanted: panel for paint reference from 1996 660 Tenere 4MY

Post by vanilla »

Hi all,

I’m restoring a 1996 XTZ660 Ténéré (4MY, twin headlight, UK P-reg) back to original spec.

Unfortunately, the bike was previously resprayed in the wrong colour (too light/teal), and I’m trying to accurately match the original factory finish — the very dark blue / green as per this picture.

I’m looking for:
• Any original painted panel (fairing, side panel, rear plastic etc.)
• Condition doesn’t matter (scratches/fading absolutely fine)
• Just needs to be original paint for colour matching

Happy to:
• Buy outright
• Borrow short-term (will cover postage both ways)
• Or rent for scanning

Based in the UK and will take great care of anything sent.

Also, if anyone has:
• Confirmed paint code references
• Or has had a good modern paint match mixed

…I’d really appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

I'm selling a tank at the moment on eBay:

That's probably a bit expensive just for a paint match, and tricky to post both ways. I'm based in London, DM me if that's local and you want to come scan a panel.

I'm still missing the left side panel battery cover... Rare it seems
