Hello All - I have a barrel where the cyclinder sleeve/liner can be pushed out by hand at room temperarture. No play but either way i can press it down on the bench and it will side out. I already have a new piston kit that would fit it.

My thoughts are that it is unlikely to move when clamped so not an issue - it would be a shame to get rid of it - Value your thoughts please on whether to use it or not?

I do also have another barrel but this means I would have buy another piston kit.

Charlie

It would be clamped down by the head and gasket yes, um, will it shorten the life span of the gasket  , how about a strong loctite..603 I think we once used..engineering adhesive, check on it though.

Jibber, you were along the lines I was but the loctite recommendation nails it nicely! Thank you....

Suggestion, never used it for that myself, check for operating temps and the like.
