Yes, it was my birthday on the 9th. Aftershave, t-shirts and chocolates from the loving wife and kids didn't cut it so I took the plunge and "buy it now" on a local (Melbourne )S10. ; I have been looking for some time and those reading from outside Australia may not know that they are pretty rare down under. Anyway I have paid the deposit and pick it up on Saturday . I'll post some pics .
Any super freaks may like to give me some advice on any specific "watchouts" that I should check?

The new member of the family has arrived. Does not appear to be to much wrong. Front brakes a little 'soggy' and a few cracks and scratches in the plastics.

The observant will see the rare 'red cross' stickers on the earlier Teneres. Do you see whats wrong in the photo below?? Its like a where's Wally !

Now I have to find the time to give the S10 a decent maiden voyage!!

Happy birthday Bernie. That collection is the envy of many a bloke in here i am sure. An the S10 is a nice addition for sure. I would check to see if you have the standard S10 rectifier or the upgraded version. It is a know weak point on these bikes. It sits behind the left side cover just behind the battery. Other than that, she looks in great shape. Happy riding

The upgraded one will have cooling fins on it. Looks like this

The original has no fins on it at all and looks like this


Some folks mout the rectifier in the front under the dash someplace to get more air over it.
Or just make a hole in the side cover
