Crankshaft rotating mass reduction?

I am in the process of converting a 2001 TT600R (kickstart only) to an electric start - much like Yamaha did for the TT600RE in 2004.
Part of this conversion involved swapping the TTR crankshaft for a 3AJ XT600 one to get the longer crank taper end for the starter gear and associated parts. The engine is now effectively a 3AJ one with a TTR gearbox and primary gearing.
One thing that bothered me was the additional weight being added to the crank with all the extra components for the e-start. I like the throttle response of the original TTR engine, and am concerned that this will be lost by doing this conversion due to the additional rotating mass.
So I started looking into alternative cranks and flywheels that might suit. It appears the 2003 era raptors have a T-bone style crank and smaller flywheel that may fit, and some of the XT660 around that time also did.
Via the forum search, I saw that there were a few posts about people considering crank swaps to use the 660 versions, but no-one seems to have posted about a finished result.
Did anyone actually do this crank swap, and was there a substantial weight loss on the crank?
