Remove Studs from rear sprocket holder

Hi all

Noticed when I changed my rear sprocket that the studs are lacking thread and can no longer be torqued up.

Are these studs easy to remove?

I was just thinking of putting on two nuts and undoing the lower nut to remove or maybe using a pair of mole grips to twist them out. Is it this easy? Are they prone to breaking?

Many thanks.

I would expect them to have some sort of threadlocker applied. So heat them up first. :fireball:

Ya, heat the aluminum up plenty before unscrewing. It'll be the red/orange high strength loctite crap .
