I saw a bit where action man gave specs for later models, but wondered about my 86 87 1VJ
I'm missing a spoke plus the rim is oval. I broke that spoke when I set about truing the wheel; all spokes rusted in.

You referred to central wheel components where they can have the specs etc and I have seen a supplier on eBay who quotes by the bike model.

But wondered if someone could confirm whether my year bike is just a set of all the same length spokes.

Action man mentioned 155mm. That sounds close, but only gives about 5 mm in the nipple; maybe that's rights.

Does anyone know whether I can just buy all the same from central wheels, bear in mind inners and outers, or whether the supplier on eBay who quotes by the bike model is okay.

Even easier question, do the spoke kits cover a number of different models.

I have ordered spokes from Central Wheels before and received the wrong spec, indeed it sounds like they were mighty similar to the ones Acertainalias had problems with in the thread you quoted.

Thanks Jibber, I might have to wait until next month to next month to buy these, so will do a bit more research. I might speak to the guy on eBay to see if he lists the 1VJ as a kit.

I have never purchased these, but have used Yuniparts for other stuff and they have proved reliable, may pay to drop a message beforehand.

Just got back from a ride and the feeling like I'm riding over ridges is worse. Whilst I need to do the wheel. I'm guessing my wheel bearings have packed in! Does it never stop!

Had the wheel off the ground and you cannot feel the bearings, but I'm sure at 5 mph coasting in neutral I could feel them. 10 to 20 mph more of a sense. 30 to 40 mph feels like one of those old keystone cartoons with an offset hub!

I know a whole new wheel etc would make sense, but financially I'll do a bit at a time.

OEM US model kickers , 43f more or less , don't know which rim/hubs you have over there for sure . Anti seize the full threads good which ever set you get and never have to deal with those dang rusted tight spokes, not an issue if you get a SS set like we can get over here.

Don't bother with central wheel, they supplied Talon with the spokes for my wheel which have the wrong bend. If you still have the OE rim then get a full set of stainless spokes from Kedo and use those. Much easier. Not cheap though.

I got the yuniparts set that jibber mentioned. They are kedo and come from Germany.
Arrived on Thursday, I will be rebuild the wheel tomorrow, new tyre too.
