• Cause of a weak spark on a 34l?

With my bike difficult to start,earthing the spark plug to the engine i'm not seeing a nice fat healthy blue spark. Changed the spark plug,no difference.The primary coil measured 20 ohms & 16 kilo ohms for the secondary.Is this about right?

If so, could it be the CDI? Is there any checks to prove this?

All 3 of my 34L's show a pretty faint spark, not what you would normally expect but they all start first kick.

Before you blame the spark...how does the bike run once you get it running?

If it keeps running without miss-fire and accelerates hard when required, then you should look elsewhere for the problem.
