Hello Tenere lovers. I'm finally selling my 1990 XT600 Ténéré. It's incredibly reliable, well-maintained, in good general condition and comes with lots of sensible upgrades. Bike has 42,270 miles on it, but has Km clocks as I think it was originally an Italian bike. I have the V5 in hand and everything is correct. I'm only selling as I've decided to get a lighter bike to do some more technical work- but it's killing me to do it.

The Good:
Runs great.
Extremely reliable
Full stainless exhaust with Arrow silencer (original exhaust also included)
Recent service including valve clearances, oil change, brake pads and new tubes
Bike is currently fitted with Michelin Desert tyres with about 3/4 life left in them
Bike has a spacer in rear shock (to raise rear ride height), which can be removed for shorter riders
Renthal handlebars and grips
Heated grips
New fork boots
Lots of spares including original front guard, disc guard, brake pads, bulbs and indicators, pillion pegs, stock mudguard and stock brake disc cover
Generally good condition, no rust.
No fluid leaks
One month MOT
Six months Tax

The Bad:
Bike has the typical dents and scratches from 24 years of use
Right side of tank has a large dent but does not leak
Rear rim has some corrosion
Left mirror cracked

Thanks! Yep, its a sweetheart of a bike, but no one seems to want it! Front mudguard is a polisport intended for supermotos, but I have the original too. I found that the original was clogging up with mud really quickly. As for the inevitable overheating question... I've never had a problem, partly I suspect as the back of the guard is relatively short and vented. I'm careful to clean the bike down after rides.

As bike sold, I will proberly never know , but sure looks like it has Michelin Dessert Race tires , and that mean it has a 140/80 rear...looks quit a tight fit...
