First Tenere, exhaust

Post by Xray Tango »

Hi all. I'm new to this forum and really grateful for everyone's posts. I bought my first Tenere last year (Italian import, 38k km) and just got her back from David Lambeth. who completely overhauled her and rebuilt the engine. Have'nt had so much fun in years, though I have pulled my hair out a few times trying to start her from warm! Cold and hot no problem, and yes I have read all advice in this forum and tried it! I followed David's instructions for a failed start by kicking her over on full throttle and this worked beautifully a few days back but have'nt been able to replicate it since. Anyhow, I'll just continue to run her in and hopefully it will all come together...

A question if I may...I'd like a new exhaust and seen Arrow bandied about, and also found one made by Mach? My current exhaust is hand built and sounds really tinny, any recommendations greatly appreciated. Deeper and louder is what I'm looking for (although I'm not allowed to crank past 3k rpm at the moment so maybe see what sounds like when out of the running in phase).

Thanks guys

George

Hiya George a welcome will be awaiting you once you go to the appropriate (new members) page (I'm sure) welcome anyroad!

David Lambeth is open to your enquirers I'm sure! It is an art starting that single cylinder XT, yet one that can be for sure mastered.

I wonder what is /who built your current exhaust, I assume DL built and tuned the bike to the one you have fitted?

PS it's not a Norton. :hot: More information on the/which, XT please.

PPS I;m on the other side of London If I can elp
