It's been quite a journey.....

Post by marcm »

Currently very bored resting a poorly eye and just been through some pictures of my 34l..from what came about as an ebay bike to get back home on a Monday after selling an r1...
Image
Image
The rattling developed or got worse about 2 weeks after getting it...
Image
Image
Image
Times and penny's meant the noisey 3rd gear had to wait for the moment,so it just got a Conrod kit, bearings and piston before leaping on the ferry for its maiden foreign voyage..
Image
It reached the med without any issues other than a hot starting hissy fit in Rouen in a traffic jam..
Then onwards along south coast of France, into Italy across Slovenia into Croatia.
Image
Very close to a wasp in the eye..
Image
Image
Image
Sarajevo
Image
On road down through Bosnia from Sarajevo heading back to the coast.
Image
Image
Dubrovnik
Image
A night on the Adriatic in southern Italy after Dubrovnik to Bari ferry.
Image
A couple of weeks in catalunya at friends place in mountains on a jolly..
Image
Then home in the November for a bit of a look over and have motor back out to attend to gearbox.
Image
It's had a bath and gained a new sidepanel..yippee..
Image
Back together,Gained some better paint, made some pannier frames, didnt reckon much of the yamaha r6 silencer as it weighed a ton...standard one underwent another weld up and refitted..
Image
2012 back on that Newhaven to dieppe ferry and away..somewhere in Andalusia, southern Spain
Image
Image
Gibraltar...and petrol was a pound a litre there....
Image
Rain in morocco..still wet and runs down your neck and you get a wet arse..
Image
Image
Pyrenees
Image
More mountain action in catalunya
Image
Back to uk for another bath and even some tank decals....
ImageImage
Had a quick bit of attention, gained a 3aj oil pump..
For 2013 it had a ride in the van down to Aragon,Spain
Image
Image
Snow in Spain.....aaaaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh
Image
Didnt get to play on the supermoto track as tenere had chunky tyres on...boo hoo....
Imagethen headed up to a rather wet catalunya..

And that's about that so far,its about 750-780 miles from friends at Llado,Spain back up to dieppe,14 hours in some rain, soggy toll tickets that jam machine up saved me a few euros.....where did you get on ze motorway?......eeeeerrrr....Salbris......2 euro 60 cents..I knew one day I'd get some pay back from the French for them shocking cars that they make... smile:
Need to bite the bullet and put a new battery on the thing, have another broken spoke in rear wheel, and replace the tyres again..
