Just mailed Wayne at ER&D (Hyperpak) in New Zealand & asked if i could buy direct (of course we love ebay)
So he`s just replied back & said "for you & your members until the end of Jan ill do them for AU$160" plus shipping obvious.
That`s the price a lot of guys are asking for old ones (nearly 30 yr old ones) them components wont last forever.
Hey Mezo, aside from being a new and "known good" item, do you know whether these units provide any improvement over the stock CDI?
I really shouldn't be spending money as I'm out of work, but if there's a tangible benefit I'm tempted to pick one up to get the best out of the old girl when I finally get her built up.
Apart from being fresh electronic components witch is obviously going to help no end in the long run, the other thing i read on another forum is that the OEM CDi has a function where it advances your ignition when you start the bike & then retards it.
Apparently the Hyperpak does no do this & according to the writer "makes it feel more lively" that`s a question really you should be asking Wayne himself, if you read his site he does explain a bit about the power curve but all it can realistically change is when the bike fires it spark.
Ive placed my order yesterday with him, i need a bike that fires on the first or second kick without fail or the third, fourth & fifth ect ect & ill be having a cardiac arrest.
Mezo.

Nothing wrong with Wayne`s product, never heard a bad word at all over the years, but delivery time is famous on a few forums.
Im not desperate for the CDi, but imagine if you was on a RTW & you was relying on that component? two months sitting in some South American town almost makes you a local.
