There's 2 methods Scottie, if you've got access to oxy acetylene welding gear, just heat up 1 spot on the race till it's cherry red, wait till it cools and the race will fall out by itself.

If you don't have welding gear (I don't anymore) just bash it out with a long thin drift... Yamaha made 2 cutouts in the frame both sides of the race allowing you to do this.... :rtfi:

Ah! I didn't know there were race cutouts in the frame. That makes me feel like a fool. I tried using a drift but I never felt the depressions and ended up having to weld a cross brace over the race and hammering it out from above.
