Oil pump purging issue....

Strange how it’s all goes well the following day.

I filled, kicked, filled, kicked, filled, kicked, ran the motor, stopped, filled, kicked, ran the motor, undone the screw, oil pissing out, great, job done, then, strangely I noticed oil at the front, lots underneath, what the fucks happening.
took the tank off and noticed an exit pipe at the top of the engine??????? what's happening, then I thought, the pipe connection at the top of the oil tank isn’t an overflow its a feed to the top of the engine, what a knob , i did wonder why there was a spring clip on the end, thought it connected somewhere low to spit out pressure. diverted to top of engine, nice jubulee clip.

Anyway, its purring like a kitten, quiet as a xt mouse, no oil anywhere apart from all over the floor, the tools, me trainers....

Connected some more stuff up tonight, foot rests, brakes, gonna Heath Robinson the indicator brackets tomorrow. A test ride weekend????

Sounds like me also, then slip on that damn oil and hob around for a week just to remind me of my mistake.

Well that's it, its nailed together short of a front sprocket, it runs like it needs more fuel or air but I'm sure I'll sort it out.
I'm now very very bored, the workshop is spotless.
If I had to do it all again-
I'd've created a parts list from day one and if possible bought from one supplier, would have saved a fortune in delivery costs.
A big big thanks to MarcM for the engine rebuild, done a brilliant job, he knows his stuff that man.
Can't wait to blast around the island.
