Do you have a 17" wheel rear on the last build? Looks like a Metzeler Tourance on the rim and its not made as 18" I recall......now wait, it is nowdays! http://www.metzeler.com/site/com/produc ... rance.html

Hi Keny... yes it's a 17" wheel... I mentioned it some time ago on here. I'm sure there'll be lots of 18" tyres available for our Tenere's soon.
The new Africa Twin has got 18 inchers on it...

Cheers Geoff! Seem I missed that out. So its use a normal Tenere hub? if so what spoke kit did you use? 3TB? 3YF?

And even if the new Africa Twin has a 18" rear wheel, its wide (150/70-18; same as KTM Adventure R)) whit a wide rim (4,25") so I don`t think there will be sizes made to fit the old Tenere. As a bit off topic, I was to the Africa Twin Vip show and they had a sligthly modded one for dieplay (aside regular also in all 4 colors) and it had a 140/80-18 (Pirelli MT21) rear and the profile was way off, to flat, so that wide rim needs a 150 rear

The engine case, what did you do to get it like that Geoff, is it powder coated or painted,
Did you have the cases bead blasted

This bike already had a 17 inch wheel on when I got it, so I had a set of spokes made the same as the ones already on the bike...

I just scrubbed them with a hard brush in my parts washer Graham.... they're the latest 3AJ cases so already painted silver
