new tyre fills out the swingarm nicely now, forgot to ask about the gaskets do that monday, flasher can has packet it in, need one of those now.
dam i made the bike look second hand quick will wash it tomorrow, battery made no difference to the function of the lights at lest it's right now. tired going to bed.

With that big of tire diameter change you might want to keep the 14T front on(if that's what you have now), 15 might be a little high.
What tire is that? the sipping on the lugs looks interesting for on snow/ice(I think that'll only make sense to me).

I've been using those IRC heavy duty tubes in most of my tires. They are some of the thickest available, good stuff.

I hope you got new rim strips also !!

hey xtrider, funny you say that about the 14 tooth sprocket, i test rode it with the new tyre and yeah not snappy as it was, so this morning i swapped it back and will test soon.
i'd say the tyre that was on there was wrong in all manners, like having a 13 tooth on there.

those heavy duty tubes are an ass to fit with that tyre, next time new tyre leavers or have tyre place fit it.

And yes i got some rim tape like duct tape with webbing in it, will be happy with new rims though.

The tyre is a Michelin cross competition m12 seems pretty good so far.

This dot signifies the light spot on the tire. place this dot at the valve stem.

Many DOT tires come with that balancing dot that as Mezo said it is supposed to go by the valve stem. The one thing I don't know is what about with rimlocks? I am also switching over to ceramic balancing beads for tire balncing. No external weights. I put them in my '88's tires that bounced pretty good from the dot being in the wrong side, they smoothened out now.


I usually fine tune my gearing by getting 1 or 2 tooth different sized rear sprocket. On average 3-4 teeth in the rear equals 1 tooth front difference.

Been busy with work lately, but i got the bike a crissy present, front tyre to match the rear.

Time for a update, i rode the hell out off the bike for 3 weeks it went well, took it to qld moto park at Beaudesert-Boonah Road, went through the trail/enduro tracks.
They had 3 levels of difficulty went through most, some good hill climbs, bike just torqued up the hills, bloody awesome. and bloody hot! found out it was 43 that day.
also got a new helmet. about time i took things a bit more seriously.
The only problem i had was the breather hose i used reacted with the oil and swelled and spat oil everywhere easy to fix with good hose.

and i got a new cdi, the one from Belgium $160 all up to my door


will test tomorrow, also got another set of hubbs and will get them powder coated and new rims fitted.
And fix the countershaft seal issue.

The next stage begins! good times ahead.

Well it works, just like the old one, seems to idle better, just means nothing wrong with old one which is good, have spare now,

will tidy up the wiring though.

In all honesty i should have powder coated the frame and other hard wearing parts but that's ok, i get to do it all again!
I have a 59x frame which will be used instead mainly for the benefit of the thicker side stand bracket and the relocation of the cdi which puts it at the head stem.
