Odd? seems to go away with a blip of the throttle?
What do you think it is Geoff?
Mezo.

I think I'd be pulling covers and make sure nothing is loose. Sounds like something is rocking back and forth and blipping throttle causes it to stabilize momentarily. I had a loose flywheel on a two stroke Rz350 that got quiet at higher rpm, rattled badly at idle. Nut had backed off and was flywheel was chewing up the half moon key. I had to use valve grinding compound on the shaft and flywheel to smooth out the roughness, cleaned up and torqued new nut and key. Quiet as can be now.

Yes its the same with the clutch in Mez, first thing I'll check will be the primary gear nut.
The noise came on last Sunday, went out for a ride & I noticed it when I pulled in the garage for fuel. Definitely sounds like something come loose

Just to clarify, are we talking about the noise that has the same frequency as the exhaust note at tickover?
If it is that noise I think I'd have a look at the airbox/airbox lid.
Or is there another sound I'm missing
Bike looks BEAUT Geoff

You can hear it through the whole video, but it does sound worse as Mezo says at around 1:10 when the tick over slows down, sounds like a jackhammer Rick. I've already checked the flywheel Steve, I thought it was that too

It's been a long time since I listened to an air cooled & couldn't remember how much mechanical noise you NORMALY hear. Think I was listening to the inducion.
Try to isolate where the noise is coming from with a stethoscope or listen through the end of a long screwdriver Geoff, gives you a better idea of what to strip.
