Geoff, are you able to pinpoint the exact location of the leak?
The stuff you are using looks pretty good. Before stripping everything off you might try going after just the leak source.
Regarding the stuff I sent you, I have never head a leak using it, provided the metal is CLEAN. Use acetone to clean away any trace of oil.
Good luck.

Hi Dave, I know the area it's leaking from but it's pretty hard to pinpoint the exact place.... I'm leaving it all weekend to drain, then I'll clean the whole area & see what I can do.... fingers crossed..

Well I cleaned all the old shit off....
Used the whole lot of Dave's stuff...
Left it for a day, then filled her up with oil & ran it for over an hour..... so far no leaks....
However we'll see how it is after a good 50 or 60 mile thrash.....
Took the opportunity to fit a set of Acerbis hand guards, I didn't like the Yamaha one's...
When I took Tenere 3 stuff to be powder coated & somehow picked up the 4MY sump guard..

so I nicked the guard of Ten 2 for Ten 3 so now I need another one doing... will get it done with the 1VJ frame...

I can't keep up with this shit....

That quick steel stuff is good, my brother and his mate where up Cape York in 1985 when his mates TT600 threw the chain and smashed the side case to pieces. They found as many bits as they could and glued them up with the quick steel and continued on to Darwin and down to Birdsville.
Regards Eric

That would have been this weekend if it had stopped pissing down long enough for me to get 'em out on the lawn....
Typical UK bank holiday weekend....

geoff, your bikes are just amazing. I especially like T3 which seems to be a fantastic mix of moto art and moto porn
Was the can on T3 painted? I think its a nice tribute to the original and it rocks with colour scheme on the bike.
