Well unlike a lot of gloss paints ive used that particular one doesnt run, you can give it plenty of coats & it just gets more & more deeper with depth.





It never run on me, should have though with the amount i put on.

Well that`s the point, when i was bidding on them two years ago i was the only bidder half the time & usually getting them for ten quid.

I think one i only paid a single pound for one of them from memory.

There`s plenty in the UK for sale, and if we all don't go bidding against one another we can all have one.

That paint looks bloody mint mate, how did you prepare the engine?... did you paint over the top of the old stuff?

Good shit Geoff, them cans fetch $100 here or in the US, every DR650 bloke is chasing them & the reason there so cheap in the UK is they never imported the DR650SE to the UK so nobody`s on to it.

Well I finished wiring the bike tonight just before I came home..... hooked up a battery & ....... only the brake lights working...
Investigations required in the morning...

Yep i painted over the old, used one of them small wire brushes (not wheel one) the one that looks like a mop, just cleaned off any loose flaky bits i found & de-greased the whole engine, masked her up & gave it a rattle n phtsssssss.

Well I was right about the bad earth, fixed that & found another problem.......

The later killswitch/starter button I fitted, although the wiring is the same colour, works completely different.... on the 3AJ switch the killswitch isolates the earth side & on the later bike it switches the live on & off...



So after a bit of headscratching & modifying of the switch wiring... it's all working now....
