I have used this stuff - Threebond 1215 for the past 20 years on all gearbox and transmission casings. It is the bees knees and is the same product as Yamabond 1215, which is recommended in the manual.

Never seen that stuff over here Dave, I'll check it out on Monday....I'm trying to find some Loctite 5188, or 518... if by chance any excess get into the sump its dissolved by the engine oil which is better than bits floating about in the sump.. I think Just Dan used 515 on his engine which is similar stuff.... Mr Lambeth reccomends Wurth flange jointing stuff (green).

No I wasn't Dave, I haven't got the cases together yet, spent a bloody hour playing with the selectors though wondering why I couldn't get all the gears....
