Mezo.
Haa... yeah we do get quite busy on occasions.... which does tend to get in the way of bike building
Its much easier doing bikes at work, when I took Snow White home she was only half finished, problem was I was spending too
much time in the garage, which was causing a bit of friction..... :pissed: so now I tend to take paperwork home & do my invoices
on a night on the settee & do the bikes during the day... works great... :shades:

I try to allow at least an hour a day on the bikes......

Can't remember what I used to do before I started all this...

I'll re-phrase that... Mezo started all this, this is all Mezo's fault... he got me started on all this.... :rtfi:

Won't be doing much today my back's still bloody killing me... :tough:

Thanks Joe...

Was gonna try to start Tenere 2 saturday morning, but, I went to see this local band Friday night.....

& I had a few too many sherbets :guinness: & didn't feel very well Saturday..... :puke:

I did manage to fit the oil cooler & battery, the engine turns over on the button & I have sparks so just have to fit the carbs & exhaust....

Had some sun this arvo so got out on Snow White.... spotted this particulary nice windmill....

Image

clocked up 500 miles on her now... :ride:

So today I fitted the carbs & headers (Motad headers that came with the bike) & loosely fitted the mid pipe & X40FOX tailpipe....

Image

Turned on the ignition, hit the button & it fired up in a second... :funkynanna:

However........

Remember this.....

Image

I had the left hand crankcase welded up cos some :tosser: broke it.........

well it's leaking oil...

:banghead:

So... the options....

Strip the engine & find another set of cases...

Use this l/h case that I got the other week

Image

the bloke who did the welding job said he would pair up my r/h crankcase with this one & any other neccessary work free of charge... well he would wouldn't he...

Or build up the 3TB bottom end I bought the other month using the head, barrells, piston, etc off this engine....

Either way, it means I've got to take this engine back out & strip it AGAIN...

Fuck.....

First of all.... I've bought some of that metal putty stuff, in the morning I'll drain the oil, clean up where its leaking with contact cleaner & try & force some of this stuff into where the oil is leaking from... hmmmmm what a bastard...

Sorry to hear the news mate. I know a few hardcore Kenyan bouncers who could perhaps show the man the meaning of the phrase" do it right the first time" ? :bat:

But despite the fuck up, she sure sounds sweet :congrats:

Engine sounds nice & tight, there's a leak happening though? at the head? (high pitch click) exhaust gaskets?

I've got a few people who would benefit from a visit from your Kenyan bouncers Charlie... slywink:

There's an exhaust leak at the mid pipe Mez, well spotted, the bloke who made it has been over & taken it away to modify it a bit.... we may be closer to having mid pipes made to order now.... :rtfi:
