I just saw Dan´s bike. He has got the same footpegs. :scratch:
The german bikes have got rubberpegs and a solid brakelevertip.
I will have a look at this... :sherlock:
Does anybody know something about it?

I didn´t know that.After looking on german ebay I found this Tenere 34L frame and the footpegs are rubber!Also the break pedal is not toothed!!!!!!
Less agressive Tenere(Tenere on Prozac?) :drugs:

I think it´s because the germans are just driving on paved roads.
And certainly because of the "dangerous" nonrubberpegs.
The consumer has to be protected...

I'm pretty sure metal foot pegs are illegal in Germany.
At some point a politician must have thought rubber pegs "looked" safer & made it law without asking anyone with experience :tosser:

My G/S PD had no rubber pegs(87 build) I left germany in 94 so must have been after that this changed......no idea :bigeek:
Here an identical bike no rubber pegs(you could buy an rubber insert)but was not mandatory at that time.

So more updates on purchases:
Got the original rear rack :shades: but it has been modified a bit(no big issue)
