A round trip from the east coast of Australia to Ayers Rock and back undertaken prior to covid.
A wonderful 23 days, 7,200 kilometre trip with no rain & only 1 day of head wind. Apart from the bike not wanting to start after sustained high speed running (had to let it cool for up to 20 minutes), it did not miss a beat.
Due to the pannier racks, both side covers were unable to be fitted.

Near Longreach, QLD.

The red soils of central Australia at The Olgas, NT

Start of a long days ride on dirt. East Tilpa Rd, NSW.

Drought conditions. 1.75 hours into the days ride. Worse was to come, stretches of sand where I was ready to bail on several occasions.

Looking a bit damp there joly. Reminds me of wales ( normally, it’s 29 deg at the moment. ). Did you sort the carbs and jetting out after?
