It's a really nice looking thing :congrats: , can you clarify if the panels are wrapped or carbon throughout ?

They are wrapped, meaning the panels and fenders where first plastic shoot blasted( to clean and roughen up the surface ) and then wrapped with two layers of carbon fibre reinforced plastic on the face side and cured in a vacuum bag system. Then sanded and surface treated / clearcoat painted to a nice finish.
It is extremely difficult to get the headlight fairing and the front fender with the air grillrist in a good looking condition. Not to mention how to vacuum bag these parts without crushing them

Maybe you guys are thinking, well your not saving any weight when just wrapping the parts. True enough, but all these parts in total will only save you something like a kilogram. The idea was to reinforce and stiffen up the plastics, especially the front fender. And this works extremely well. It doesn`t go all over the place when you speed over 100km/h like it used to, and most certainly I did it for the looks :shades:

It can be done, to make the plastics completely out of carbon fibre, I know how - but then you have to add three or more layers of carbon and the job is a lot more difficult, because you need to get the tiny things that you need when your fitting the parts to the bike. And as I said the weight saving in total will be very little.
Its only the two small side fairings, the tiny headlight fairing and the front and rear fender. On this bike with the small fairings- its not any weight at all
One hamburger an one beer less and its adds up
