One of the things that came between was this.
Yes, another one.
I don´t know what´s the matter with me. But when I saw the price and the goodies,
I couldn´t resist it. It was a telephone purchase again. A lot of parts missing.
I think I can make another complete XT now and still have an spare engine.
The Laser slipon is already out on a ad. Got £150 for the last one I got sitting on the XTZ
and I think I can get the same for this one. So, half bike paid.

I must say I had some luck here.

Was ready with the primer and
checked out the site where the ad was, just inserted. Seller said there was 15
calls after mine.

Yeah, I guess I have to set it in order and use that instead.
Gonna take some time and I can´t assemble any then though.
Tear it apart today and call the powdercoater hoping he has time and not has taken holiday.

At one time in my life I was obsessed with RD350´s, I had 7 of them.

I'm really getting jealous . I can't find one ,much less 2 or 3 "extra" xt's over here. All are being scrapped out and sold in pieces on ebay, even the ones that are mint, or are selling for $2000 and up for beatup samples. There were few in the states to begin with as it is.

Sorry to hear that xtrider.
Everyone should be allowed to buy at least 3 XT´s or Tenere wrecks.
Started out to disassemble the "new" bike.
Got the wheels of and what did I find? Crap bearings.
Broken disc nuts. Not only broken in level with the disc.
No they where broken down the hub.
So, I decided to go to school instead. Youtube school.
I´ve learnt how to true the wheel. Then I practiced on my
first bikes wheels where the rims are not so good.
But I´ll go for them anyway for now. They have new bearings,
spokes and painted hubs. I don´t think I can get them trued much better.
I spended a lot of time on them. Here they are ready for the tire guy.
But the tire guy had not time for me so I went to school again.
First time mounting a motorcycle tire.
But....I was not careful with the rear tire. Made a hole and had to fix that.
I have also disassembled the "new" XT.
Now......the fun begins.

There is nothing to be ashamed about the selfmade puncture.
I did a lot of tires and it happens every now and then...
Just last week I did it to my new Honda C 90.
I found out it has something to do with the tirelevers.
I have maybe ten diffrent types of them and there are some I have put away because they were troublesome.
Two are my favourites. Never killed a tube.
These were on my Tenere 15 Kilometers away when I did the C 90 tire...
Your bike comes along nice!
Have fun!
Take your time.
Cheers

I´m not ashamed but it´s so time consuming doing it wrong. Well, first time..........
Filled the tube with some air but that did not help. Next time I will try to put some more air
in it and mount the tube inside the tire before it goes on the rim. Saw that on Youtube and it took the
guy 3 minutes of work until he was ready.
