Decided to lace up the rims while I'm waiting for the replacement spokes to arrive, obviously I can't true it yet but it's useful to get things as far as I can, and the new seat cover arrived. Re-painted the top yolk because I missed a bit.
Rear shock all cleaned up and painted, bit miffed that I wasn't able to strip it completely and do the spring a different colour but it's a sealed unit so can't be done. Swing arm is back in the frame for now, temporary, just to keep it safe. Also put the rear peg supports back on.
Had a message from Fleabay saying they pulled to ad from the seller I ordered the carbon self adhesive from, messaged the seller but no reply as yet, dog!
Few more piccies for you
Swing arm
Front wheel
Rear wheel
Moving on.....................

Rims look nice, as for the shock spring painting would not have worked anyhow, i made that mistake years ago where i painted it & the paint cracked under compression, you need to get it powdercoated (does not crack).

If you have some spring compressors, it's fairly easy to remove the spring...
I did it with my press...

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing then that the top eye just unscrews from the ram? If so, how did you hold it to stop the ram turning?

Started to give the lump a clean, tedious job but worth it.
Not too bad at all
More to do tomorrow

Just been having a ponder in the garage, might put the engine back in tomorrow morning
And I'm pee'd off with Talon

...............my replacement spokes still haven't arrived yet!
In future I shall just go straight to Central Wheel like I should of in the first place. Might be a bit more expensive but at least I'd get my order in a decent amount of time, 5 days they quote.

Engines back in, but will have to take the swing arm out again to fit the new protector when it arrives. Got my spokes at last.
