You can't break an XT by dropping it like that Mike - your Missus needs to try harder if she wants a new bike... I came off my new XTE in '95 on diesel on a roundabout - about an hour after collecting it from the dealer. Just had to bend a couple of things back into shape. Which is more than I can say for the pair of brand new ruined Levis I was wearing. I swear I heard the bike laughing at me while I was pinned under it.
She's fine and a trooper. She had snapped the clutch lever, so I swapped mine to her bike and she rode it to a restaurant where she got cleaned up, while I went and got the truck for her to ride home in, and I rode both bikes home. Her crash (her new nic-name is "Crash" by the way) was caused by locking up the front wheel on the hair-pin turn. I'm going to swap out the front break system between bikes because mine won't lock the front tire up so easily. Mike
