Ok, I might start an engine thread in autumn to rebuild this engine.
Or it might exist a detailed one already?
I guess a lot of stuff is needed to add a kicker. Please give me a hint of what to watch for to buy for this engine.

ActionMan, you are very spot on here.

Frame is 34L.

Engine is a 3AJ.
This engine don´t at least look abused on the outside.

Cylinder, 2KF?

34L oiltank.

Image

Don´t think I can trust this one when changing so much on it.

Image

Key fits here to.

Image

Front is pretty nice, again.

Image

Rear......hmm, don´t think it´s rust but it is not scratched as my 43F one.

Image

That is an odd solution. What´s the point having it there if they havent used it as a spacer.

Thanks. If I don´t buy that specific one, what engine models is useable to get that part from?
And what is this "Anschlagblech", Do I need that as well?

I get it I need a kicker, oil seal and decomp parts too.

Is ready. Well not yet the heatshield behind the right one.
"600" sticker was just what I wanted on the sides. No more no less.

Image

Swinger is ready.

Image

Brake caliper is ready.

Image

Image

Forks....

Image

Went for 530 ml each fork, easiest that way.

Image

Gave it one pump with my hand and it went up to 10 psi if it is the scale where my arrow is.

Image

And ready.

Fiddled with the pet cock.

Finally, tank is ready.

 I do believe I am going to make a black version somewhere along the way. They are quite the beauties !!! Now why didn't Yamaha offer that color in more years instead of ..... green...

Yes, very soon I´ll start assembling it all, this week infact. smile:
I´m taking the whole wheels from the new donor initially so I will have it rolling.
I can´t get my other rims straight, have to get some education from Youtube how to manage that. :sherlock:

Seller told me very little about the donor bike. It has been in the hands of the Police though.
But he bought it from a big company "Kvarndammen.se" here in Sweden. They have auctions on all kind of vehicles.
He intended to give it a new life but changed his mind when all work became reality.

Black and red or white and red is my favorite colours on bikes.

Did not get much done with the bike today. :headslap:
Other stuff came between.
Finished steelwork this morning. Then sandblasting and primer.
