i took to the rear rim with a die grinder to clean up the corrosion

then had a go at filling the damaged area with an alumaloy rod, first attempt :bigeek:

nearly done, used a sand paper cone in the die grinder to remove the excess filler

only problem is when i had a go at the front rim the corrosion is so bad the rim is beyond repair so
i will have to get replacement rims :pissed:
it seems to corrode under the anodizing :scratch:
sort of in layers like an onion :tough:

got stuck into the removing the spokes today, started with the front wheel managed to undo 1 spoke to get the length, the others i cut.......with wire cutters.......by hand :huh:

so i prepared myself with some better tools when i did the rear

I hope you made careful note of the spoke/rim orientation and the hub/rim offset? :sherlock:

so i got the die grinder and started removing the previous "repair"

being plastic i have plastic welded some cracks together the larger areas need the carbon fibre kit slywink:
and i removed the screen

OK i'm back, where have you been you might ask?
fooking crook i had a case of the great galloping bot rot, 8 days :bigeek:
any way on the mend now, my wheels and spokes finally arrived :star:
