I'd forgotten Vander had already done this conversion HERE

It's always better to have an air box if you can.

The choke is on the left of the carb bodies, same place as the standard XT carbs.

Here are some pics of the Raptor setup along with a tape measure for sizes , don't have a metric tape though ,

This is with the carbs placed on my hybrid motor , the head is tilted forward 2 inches compared to oem motor . You can see where the carb top cap just barely clears the frame but the vacuum inlets need to be altered as they are on mine in the pictures with a 90degree elbow.

Thanks for all input. Have to check that build thread out when having the time. smile:

Are in the process to buy Another bike at the moment, MT09, MT09 Tracer or MT07. Which one is your favourite?
Wont be until after the Milano show is finished though, Heard a rumour about a MT07 with fairings.

Little OT.

A Little bit of a personal record is reached, I have bought bike number 12 this year. :accordian: :riding:
Sold 6 and have 10 left in the stable (most of them in boxes).

The Tracer is really nice if you like that kind of bikes.
This one looked like new with it´s 4500 km´s on the clock.
It was equipped with the Acrapovic full Titanium exhaust system.
Yamahas worthless sidebags and some lowering links.
I can´t help it but modification is in progress. smile:

Hi Yami,
I allways like the simplicity of things.
Did you ever thougt about using a single carburettor, like on the later Honda XR 600 R models?
Just a thought... Just to tickle you to buy the next bike.

A little bit off course. There has been some here at the forum putting single carbs on that I read about.
As I don´t know very much of the outcome, liability, behavior, fuel economy I haven´t expanded my thoughts that way.
For simplicity reasons with the continuing of the build it will probably be the original carbs.
Need a decision here before setting the subframe.
And another issue before subframe setup is to get a 2 cock petrol tank (20-23 l) fitting my TT600R seat
and the frame. The rest of the fitting I can work out. I wish I could try which tank that fits but no one has one around here.

Thanks, Olli. No I havent seen that thread Before but I will read it now that you found it. smile:

Yes I´m still in for the panel. :thumb:

Not much to report here. Sold the Acerbis tank and seat last weekend. Looking for Another tank that are a better fit.
Would rather not buy new one so it takes time. Wont do the subframe until I know exactly where the tank/seat gonna
be located.

Been installing floor heating in the house myself lately and are working on the Tracer´s 20 + Point modification list so
I have been busy. smile:

Sorry for not updating. Projects is still alive but on hold. There´s been a lot of things happening
that has affected my life/time lately.
On the other hand, I have desperately been seeking for a used petrol tank like
on the picture. It´s for a TT600R 98-04 20 litres Acerbis.
I can´t really rectify buying a new one at this stage with that high cost.
If you have one you want to sell or know where I can get a used one, please give me a tip.
Thanks.

There´s been a Little bit of action this weekend, purchase. smile:
I think I have managed to get all parts I need now to the #1 build.
It has gone so long time since posting about it so I will mention that
#1 is the original TT of 1983 I will restore. This TT purchase gave me
all the plastics I was missing and some other stuff.

The other XT600E I got cheap and will flip it to get some cash to the project.

I have stripped the TT today for the useable parts I need and put the them on the shelfs.
