bought a stainless steel 90deg 50mm mandrel bend, so i decided to have a go at the exhaust this arvo,
first made a little bracket
cut the pipe and made a bracket to mount the can
after some trial fittings i cut the bend off the can
after cutting a piece of the very expensive stainless bend $40
TOO SHORT 
i had many little trail and error fittings to get it right the second time
now i'll just tack weld it together and then get someone to tig weld it

so i tacked the pipes together and then joined the tacks 
and ended up welding it together with my mig using gasless wire
anyone know if welding stainless with gasless wire will cause any problems?
oh and i gave it a bit of a polish

I don't think you will have a problem Dan, the worst that can happen is it may crack or maybe a spot of rust, but I think you will be O.K.

got the wheels off today
removed the old tires and inspected the rims
the usual rot around the valve stem but otherwise in fair condition

how to bodge up your bike jack bogan style 
the hydraulic jack that came with my bike jack/lifter crapped itself and i managed to misplace the receipt
so i had to get the jack sorted
so get your hands on a mechanical jack from a 1965 datsun 1200 1 tonne ute, get the welder out have a few rums and start welding
welded a nut on the end so i can use the impact/rattle gun to raise and lower
go's like a beauty now
