Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere
Well I'm at Hawker and have found out that the butterfly spindle in the secondary card is flogged out, just like I was reading about.
Thanks

They workshop tried to braise up the spindle and than machine it back down but the spindle got twisted so now he's making a home made spindle, fingers crossed this will work.
Thanks

Re: ADV riding mods done to my 4UX Tenere
I call it a spindle, but it might be called a shaft. It goes through the carb body and the butter fly valve is bolted to it. At least I think it is the secondary carb.
My question is, what is the settling for when the secondary carb starts to open, I don't have manuals with me and as the guy has the entire carb apart, thus the two carbs will need to be sequinised?

If it all goes pear shaped, I have spare shaft (or other parts) from an XT600e 1993 carb, that I can overnight to a postoffice near you.

Wow, that sounds grand Rod. Once we have a go at tuning and testing we'll know how the home made job goes.
Thanks for the images from the manual, I'll do an update before I leave Hawker, that's me being optimistic.
