well, got my foot pegs from Radan and it was quick and painless from his side - on mine unfortunately I was taking too long with everything incl this review - so sorry!!
anyway - got them fabbed with a 2inch lowering for my 1990 s10. I've now ridden approx. 700kms with them on paved roads only and my impression is this: they are very well made and sturdy, they are very comfortable due to being the extra width and have good grip under the boot. There is as others have pointed out a slight angle to the mounts on the S10 for some reason, which is obviously felt more with wider pegs, but at least for me it has been a non-issue. Very happy overall.

One issue: Having the lowered version means downwards adjusting both your shift and brakepedals. At max downwards adjust my shiftpedal is pretty much on spec in terms of height vs the foot peg. The brakepedal unfortunately was already at max downwards adjust (I had a licensed shop take a look at it) which means the top of the brake pedal is floating maybe 1-1.5 inches above the top of the foot peg. It's workable when riding paved roads sitting (I've gotten used to lifting my right foot slightly to brake) but I would not want to try riding standing up with it. So come winter I will take the pedal off, cut it and reweld it so it's a couple of inches lower. For now it's fine and it's totally worth it to get the extra legroom which is just soooo comfortable!

Pics as follow - more on demand.

Your foot rests were great, never slipped off and have over 1000 miles on them total. I had put on the 84 XT a pair of wide foot rests from eBay, they looked good but both of them broke the first outing and had to reinstall the original ones I had sent overnight from home... Bummer, lost a day of riding.

Here is a picture on the Telluride side of Imogene pass. Footpegs visible and performed very well. I'll probably be ordering another pair for the 84 XT.
