YES Fred333, use the old spring - it's so designed. I use it so and work great.
by the way, if you do not have the correct position (horizontal) adjusted according to the sketch.

Foot hold very fixed and not slide it, right :wink2: ? Stainless steel is very sharp (edge)
Powder coating edges slightly arches...

Mine arrived in record time to Australia. Haven't fitted them yet, but they look fantastic, great quality. Pics to follow.
