i would say think before you start drilling,if you can make a guide of some sort to get the hole in the centre its sometimes time well spent,as opposed to just drilling off centre on the piss and it all goes downhill fast..
im lucky that have an old boy near me that ive used for years for this type of thing,hes been at it 50 years but says hes still learning,but whatever i take to him he seems to have a solution to it and makes a masterpiece of..
theres some very clever old boys out the and its probably best to learn from them whilst there here.

My old man was one of them clever old fella`s who could piss this job, but he never let a customer watch how he did anything. :evil:

If your going to drill it use a pillar drill or a mill (bolted down on a nice flat surface). :rtfi:

Its very difficult to do on a bike, almost impossible if your not experienced & even then you have to be lucky, id recommend stripping the whole thing & get it done professionally.
