Well folks, thanks for filling me with confidence in saying that my 1VJ looks mostly original and in nice condition.

My attention will turn too how it’s running when it’s delivered some stage Feb, fingers crossed all will be good.

Mezo, thanks for pointing me in the right direction to previously posted Q&A regarding the XT engine nosing.

For now I will continue to reading various topics listed on here and other forums where likeminded people share their experiences.

Well Folks, my 1VJ is still at the dealership in Italy, at this stage I had hoped for it to be on route to Ireland.

For now I will just have to settle myself with the photos I have until it arrives.

New to me, my 1VJ was collected at the Yamaha dealership today. My driver send me the photo below, I’m still happy with what I can see in the photo. All being will it will be delivered by the weekend.



The label on the delivery crate next to my 1VJ looks to be a new Yamaha 2020 YZ450F, the spec’s are so different; class leading performance and suspension along with the smartphone power tuner app! The technology nowadays is remarkable but we all know which bike would draw a crowd of admirers.

That top box will have to come off i think to fit in the box, unsure where they will fit in in though?

Mezo, the top box is definitely coming off, that’s for sure, maybe I’ll get lucky and find that the dealer filled it with old NOS parts
