That is the problem of living in a small place. No competition.

Andrew thoughts were. They really did not want paint the frame and put a really high price on it. Andrew has gone with the powder coat. When that comes back I will have a squiz at his,

The BM frame and the Tenere frame are the same in a way. In they both flex and I am not sure if powder coating can take the flex without cracking.

Before going to far into the project. Time to throw open the doors and talk about colour schemes. This one appeals to me with the bikini fairing. It is a metallic green with black shading and gold pin stripe.

Or the more standard colour of.

Let a man loose with a 4" angle grinder. An there will tears before bed time.

Not quite that bad. I removed all the sidecar lugs off the frame. An now, in need to tidy it up with grinder.

The rear foot peg mounts doe need a bit of welding to fix up the holes an cracks.

The Tenere is around in a garage. It is not far away and I have been thinking a bit about it lately. The Tenere has not been touched for awhile and was frustrating at the end. The bike does still not run properly and is really hard to start. The only item I have not replaced on the Ten is the alternator.

I have been side tracked on other bikes as of late and it is easy to miss place things.

A photo from today.

Hi Dan,regarding the Tenere check the hole in the fuel bowl where the choke draws it's fuel. The choke has a brass pipe that runs down into the bowl but the tiny oriface is easily bloked so the choke won't work and it takes forever to start. It's not the pipe that gets blocked but the hole in the fuel bowl,2 of my bikes had this even after cleaning the carbs many times but now they start 1st or 2nd kick!
Regards Eric

Thanks Eric, the carbs were like the rest of the bike and were in crap condition. so it stands to reason the tube could be blocked.

The bike does not seem to run right as well. Like the timing is by one tooth.

Spent the morning at Andy gadgets place trying to fix all the things that are really rooted on the frame before moving on to sand blasting. Mainly around the brackets that hold on the rear foot pegs, brake leaver and exhaust. Every little bracket on this bike has been broken at re welded out in the bush style.

First job is to heat up steel and the steel and bronze bushes the make the rear brake pedal work. At the moment, push the brake pedal down and the pedal stays down and brakes stay on.

improvising a way to hold the bracket and remove the very solidly located bush. The rusty bit at the end of the ears are the muffler mounts an there is nothing really left there. we are talking about chopping them off and either grab some off a bent frame lying around or make new ones.

Steel bush and bronze bush out.

Re weld up all the cracks underneath the frame.
