Re: What's this
I also took a few pictures in the rain. Let me know what you think.

I took the side panels off. I know it's not original but I will try to put it back as much as possible. I have the headlight cowl already. I want to tidy the back mudguard up a bit. Maybe more like the TT look. It's going to be my commute bike.
I'm battling to get it to idle properly and there is a slight fuel leak from the top of the carb.

Re: What's this
Never seen one of them racks before, nice & solid though.
Just change bits as you spot them & can afford them, the tank graphics spoil it (poorly applied & wrong color) he`s got the angle wrong when he was laying them, i put a link in Erics build for the right color graphics & its where JustDan got his graphics from.
There`s not to much work involved to put that bike back to factory, i would personally.

The problem is I keep hitting it with my shin everytime I get on it.
Probably because I'm too bloody short.

Re: What's this
Does this look like the right headlight cowl for a 34L?

No that`s not the one, yours has a 1VJ cowel on it right now with a meshy sort of thing underside, the 34L has flute looking slots.

Re: What's this
As the part number suggests, the cowl in the picture is from a 43F XT600 around 1985.
The Tenere is slightly different. Look at photos here of restored bikes and you will see.

So I stopped worrying and lo and behold, things did get worse!
