Well as long as you quote the RAL number or the Pantone number your paint supplier should be able to match it as near as dam it, paint colours can vary slightly from mix to mix.
Lets start with a red frame, same on all of the XT`s and is known to Yamaha as "Fire Red" (00FH FIR)
The equivalent available colour is "Traffic Red" its RAL code is 3020 & its Pantone code is 485.

This colour is available in powder coat & also goes by the name "Traffic Red" RAL 3020,
If want to spray paint your frame it can be found in the US here, or search locally to you
as shipping/flying can be expensive as its classed as dangerous goods (additional charges apply).
Next up is the white, again the nearest equivalent colour is "Traffic White" RAL 9016 & Pantone 705.

A quick Google search will find you a supplier that can mix it, here`s one in the UK.
So your the lucky owner of an beautiful blue 1983/84 34L or even luckier a 1985 55W in Blue.
Well the nearest equivalent colour available today is RAL 5012 "Light Blue" pantone number is 307.

Again if you wanted spray paint it can be found by a Google search & again this guy in the UK sells it here,
& its powder coat name is "RAL 5012 Ford Light Blue" for doing the frame.
So you own a 1VJ or a 3AJ then?
Well both bikes Yamaha colour is "Faraway Blue" & it was used on many Yamaha bikes from that era,
and the equivalent colour today is RAL 5005 "Signal Blue" pantone number 294.

Again this guy in the UK can mix it for you or do a search locally quoting the RAL or Pantone number,
And it has the same name in powder coat as well (Signal Blue)
Mezo.
