It is a restriction courtesy of Yamaha factory, ive read other guys removing it to aid in performance.

Be aware that rear rack its an XT not Tenere.Will they fit?

Gees Eric, good find,the kickstart alone is worth that, they are pretty hard to find, I know I need one for my XT550.
Hey Karl the rack fits until you try and fit the seat, the front bracket with all the holes gets in the way. I could modify it but will try to get an original one.

Just got my best buy yet delivered, a complete gearbox plus every other gear ,cog, bolt etc from the USA. Gearbox immaculate with only 7000 miles on it, $85US plus $55US shipping!
