Let's wait and see...
Unless it actually breaks into pieces it'll last a long time, don't worry about it.
A man can dream I guess
But yeah, as of now the bike starts just fine (noise aside of course) with the e-start and nothing locks up when the engine is running
It’s just one of those “oh man that sounds expensive” kind of noises
Imagine me, just finished with a top end rebuild, hearing that noise at the 3rd-4th rev… my damned heart disintegrated

Mine did😂. I’d left her way too long and everything was seized up. Clutch, rear brake too. She just needed a bit of love. Like tracked vehicles, can’t stand being left to sit. First time they move they destroy seals, dump oil, send road wheels down the road ( hence they always get low loaded now to ranges), but once they’re moving after a shakeout, they’re reliable as f***.
Just needs the radio turning up for a few hundred miles. 😉

Back I am to confirm that the source of the clunking was indeed the one-way bearing on its way out.

Replaced it with a low-mileage second hand part and the noise is gone. Lucky for me I did not have any trouble removing the flywheel since I replaced the timing chain recently so it wasn't welded on the crankshaft because of time.

Thanks for the confirmation of the problem.
Most people on here ask the questions but never confirm what the correct diagnosis was.
