Pair of 1VJ Side panels, new, red or blue. £190

Post by Scumfrog »

Very accurate reproductions of the originals, the manufacturer tells me they were one of the OEM manufacturers for Yamaha back in the day and use the same moulds.

Unpainted, as they were originally, with stickers applied.
Stickers are matt.
They're not the Chinese or Australian ones.
Delivery cost to be added.
Allow a few days for reply, I'm not on here that often.

That's a good price, border line low imho....
Are they still producing these then? Anything else like mudguards?

They look great. As jibber says, will they expand the range? Itd be nice having a full proper set in the right plastics and mouldings. 👍👍

Yes I can get full sets, but it's going to take several months. And there do seem to be a few mudguards, tail pieces and headlamp cowls around, but not many side panels.

I've only just been able to put these up for sale as HMRC charged way more VAT and duty there should have been. It has taken several weeks just to get their calculation out of them, but I have found their error, now just waiting for them to correct the mistake so I don't make a loss on them. Fucking retards, it's such a moronic mistake you would think they did it on purpose.

Here are the blue ones.

What you might find is that there's a small difference in the mesh pattern and the originals you have, as Yamaha used different manufacturers at different times.

The stickers are matt, whereas the originals were semi-gloss.

If you want them to look original you will also want to remove the black sticker and paint the bottom section.

The black bits love fingerprints so if you get them, they might have the odd finger mark.

Looking good, to get the ball rolling, I'll have a set of white ones please....
And a mudguard if it's correct with a separate lip?

I don't have any mudguards, it could be possible in a few months or more, but the lip is not available. I will ask about it though.
