Haa, yes I saw that one Dave.... to be honest I don't really want to buy a Super Tenere thats in good nick 'ready to ride' I already have my new Ten & for long journeys my Tiger...... I'm only doing this one 'cos its already here & its a bit/lot :rolleyes: of a challenge.....

p.s. frame going to powder coaters this week... slywink:

Had the frame sandblasted today to check out the rust situation (forgot to take a pic :headslap: sorry guys)..its fine, no problems at all ...... so next time we see it, it will be white..... :funkynanna: :rock:

He is.... :rtfi: he's the Max in Romax .. a real enthusiast too, has an old Triumph in his lounge, he's rebuilt one of Mezo's favourites (a red rocket) & he's rebuilding an old Maico now....

Well I started on the engine today.....

I was pleasantly suprised, apart from two snapped bolts in the water pump everything is in pretty good nick...

It's obviously been running a bit rich...

One strange thing, the lower left head/barrel stud is covered in emulsified oil, no evidence of why... :scratch:
both head & base gaskets are good, no leaks anywhere..... maybe its condensation..... Dave, what do you think?

The engine internals & gearbox are brand new.... no scores on the barrels or pistons.. :funkynanna:
I don't think this bike has done many miles.... won't strip it any further now.... need to buy a manual... :book:
