I've sent an email to Moorespeed about a month ago about a suede topped 1VJ seat but heard nothing back. I think he's sold the business?
Anybody know where I can get a suede topped seat? And even better if it could have Yamaha or Gauloises on the side

Suede top with vinyl sides.
These two pics are from a 660 & 750 but i have seen ones for a 1VJ & 3AJ, the whole seats not covers, never seen them for sale.
You see them occasionally on German ebay, i think the guy buys a seat & then covers them & then sells it whole.

Yep Moorespeed is no more apparently.
Mezo.

Yeh, Moorespeed (the Yamaha side) was sold off to RAP superbikes in London(the parts inventory at least anyways) would not have hurt to E mail you a response to let you know though, that said, I dont think his response rate was good before he sold up....

Mezo, that is precisely what I'm looking for. Especially the top photo....Stunning.
Any more info?
Jibber, you're right about Moorespeed. Months before I'd phoned him to ask about the uprated oil cooler he did, he said he'd get back to me and didn't. So I emailed him ref the oil cooler, and he didn't get back to me on that either

I've sent them an email, we'll see what they want to recreate Mezo's top pic.
What's the guess? A seat cover is £60ish fitting around £25, so £100 would be acceptable. I reckon we'll be in to £150

Re: suede or alcantara 1VJ seat
I've just got back a seat being recovered by Saddle Craft seats. in South Shields.
http://www.saddlecraft.co.uk
They are a small operation but I think Geoff D has used them for his restos('nuff said) and they've just done mine in vinyl with alcantra top. £125 incl side lettering.
I''m very happy with the result.
Bad news is they are on hols for the next month but if you're not in a hurry....

Re: suede or alcantara 1VJ seat
Quick update.
I used Viking in Kent for the two 1VJ seats I wanted doing.
Not cheap but serious quality. I showed them to my mate who does all my spraying and that of a very well known Dutch motorcycle collector. Nothing impresses him and his first question was where did you get those done....
Absolutely recommended
