The Impossible?

Post by STUART1969 »

Am expecting delivery of a 34l which I am hoping to restore. Will be after side panels, headlight plastics, front fender. I know these are all hard to get bits ! any leads welcome.

I can not find any side panels at the moment, I thought one side was still available, but may be not, Kedo does not list any, and I had a quick look on E Bay (UK/IT/DL)
you will struggle I think, sometimes you have an odd one turn up, you may have to be patient. The headlight cowl , you can not get new either.

try your local Yamaha dealer for the front fender, rear fender and licence plate holder, they were still available at Yamaha in Australia as of last Friday, and are cheeper that the ones on flee bay by a long shot.

thanks everyone I am investigating all of these.

I have secured a front headlight cover, and put bids on side covers (altohugh they will need lugs repairing), I am sure there is a way!
On a budget but want to try and get it back to original as possible. I do have time on my side.

Thankyou again for your help.

Thank you everyone for your help. So far i have secured a front headlight cover, an air box (although I need intake rubbers) and side panels (LH need lugs repairing).

I am going to try and post some photos this weekend so you can see what I have bought. My idea is to collect as many part over the summer and start strip down/rebuild over the winter.
