Please, give me an advice.
Motorcycle after the winter, I wanted to operational, and there were some complications.
And I'm confused, never before has this happened to me so I'm a little scared.
- Install a charged battery
- Unleash old gasoline from carburetor
- Give new gasoline from tank
- Pull the choke
- Turn the key (indicator illuminates neutral)
- Press the START button - or third time you manage to start the motorcycle, the engine speed is high around 3000 rpm, decrease a little choke at 2500 rpm. The engine switches off and goes always hear that sort of as if a parking position (something).
Now it sounded strange. Choke back to maximum and press the START button. The engine emits some strange noises. It starts issuing such sounds as if unfinished after a pause only when squeezing the buttons only slightly fading light neutral.
Motorcycle even not to push. In first gear, when I hold the clutch is locked rear wheel. Back to neutral is possible, but 2,3,4,5 gear not at all.
I'm afraid I'll have to disassemble the engine, if I do not want it.
- The problem is not in the battery
- Defective clutch? Since 2008, I've done it is possible that it is still original (30,000 km)
- May be faulty starter?
- Freewheel?
I have absolutely no idea, maybe it's just badly parked and there was something wedged.
I guess I'll have to do general overhauls.

REPORT:
So today I removed lid and prepared to drain the oil, but behind me my father. And he said, before everything dismantle, try to remeasure the starter relay!
A relay has really weird values. If the relay discarded motorcycle starting fine.
Faulty starter relay!
It will repair or buying new? Do you have experience?
It is worth quite a bit of money ...

Can I use this one?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Starter-Solenoi ... _g&vxp=mtr
it is not for XT but for Majesty. But looks very similar

Hi Bosley,
Hitachi make one of the best starter solenoids, if you can get one with a rating of 150 amps it will last a lifetime. Lots of cheap brands out there that will burn out prematurely or even stick closed and ruin the starter motor and gear.

Re: NEED ADVICE - never happened me before
The Hitachi 150 amp one I bought before was to replace a low amp type (50amp) on a Aprilia Caponord. It was a common problem on Aprilia's from the early '00. I see the serial number on your photo is similar to the 150 amp version so it may be a Hitachi part you have. This extract from another forum may help you in your search-
"It’s actually a Hitachi item with the serial number MS5D – 191 and is also used by several other bike manufacturers at a cheaper price than what Aprilia want for it. The Yamaha part is available under part number 3UF-81940-00-00."

Re: NEED ADVICE - never happened me before
Two weeks ago, I became strange thing. I assume that it is responsible for the relay of the "UK eBay" suspicious brand. I start the engine and ride about 25m and a strange noise - starter still spinning!
Turn off the engine "kill switch" motor off, but the starter still spins. I turn off the ignition key = starter is still spinning. That's weird.
I'm going to my garage 500m from my work. I get there before I can open the door (motor off - starter sponing) battery dead (starter spun perhaps 100x).
Disconnect the battery finally it stopped !!!
I do not know what it was back to the battery, I joined I checked relays (not hot).
What it was? Drilling my head.
Since then, everything runs like clockwork.
