Hi all,

How i can reduce fuel consumption of xtz750? With side cases, almost 12 liters per 100km :/ in city traffic without cases: 7,5liters per 100km with agressive style an 6,5liters if riding like a grandma.
And i don't want to install any straight pipes and filters, so i'm not sure about dynojet. also i've heared about issues with stock jets, what symptoms i will have?

Common things are to use a new/clean spark plug, maintain proper tire air pressure, clean your air filter. Decreasing weight always helps increase fuel efficiency so leave the side cases at home until you need them. Also ensure you are getting a nice big blue spark from your plug. Having a weak spark robs power and decreases fuel efficiency.

Most people end up going the other way and increase fuel consumption in order to increase power. Here in the States most bikes come very fuel efficient (lean) from the factory in order to meet emission standards (especially California). Has any work been done to your bike before you purchased it to add aftermarket pipes, or increase carb jetting that may be sucking up your petrol?

Also seeing that you are from Ukraine, are you concerned about the cost of gas going up lately? I've been hearing lots of talk about fuel price negotiations with Russia and Ukraine. Seems like a tough situation for most Ukrainians.

in USD fuel became even cheaper then before xD but in hryvna (our currency) it costs twice much than year ago.
i think that 7.5 liters per 100km is too much, and 12liter with mounted cases is too damn high.

Because the carbs on a 750 are standing upright, the slide and needle valve are horizontal.

This leads to excess wear on the brass mixing valve (emulsion tube).

This part, together with the needle meters fuel from 1/4 throttle to near full throttle.

When they are worn oval shaped, it leads to a rich mixture and high fuel consumption.

i heared about this issue. also heared that some sets of needels and emulsion tubes (the thing which is closed by the needle. don't know how it called in english, emulsion tube is a translation from how it called in russian) are better than others. have you heared anything about this?

Emulsion tube is correct translation, tubes (with S) means more than one (plural)

Your carburetor need a revision.
Change needles and emulotion tubes.
(Don't use swiss needles! They are only good for mountain riding.)

Does your bike cold start without choke? Change the starter set.

You need those parts twice:
